Michael H. Black — Artist Biography

First, there was photography. There still is photography. I started with a box Brownie, glossing my photographs on my dressing table mirror. (my late mother was a lady of great, but not infinite, forbearance). Now I use the latest Olympus and Nikon Cameras. The joy of making an image is still the same.

As a professional photographer my work has appeared all over the world in Newspapers, Magazines, Books and countless advertisements. I live in Devonshire, England on the shores of Lyme Bay. The opportunities for a photographer are almost limitless....

....And then we bought a Computer and I began to play with some of my images in Photoshop.

I was entranced.

Two years of hard work later I am still entranced.

The best and latest of my images are here, in my Portfolio/Gallery. They were born out of a restless wonder at colours and form.
