Conférence de Sperello di Serego Alighieri: The Contribution of European Astronomers to the Reform of the Chinese Calendar in the First Half of the 17th Century and the Eclipses of that Period

We are honored to welcome Sperello di Serego Alighieri, a direct descendant of the famous poet Dante Alighieri and a distinguished astrophysicist at the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory in Florence, Italy, for a fascinating lecture on the influence of European astronomers, particularly Jesuit missionaries, on the reform of the Chinese calendar in the 17th century.
